How My Journey Began

Deishonda Walsh Greenwood, was born in Joliet, IL and raised in Kenner, LA. She experienced and saw first-hand the effects of families not having basic resources, lack of emotional support and trauma growing before her eyes as well as in her own. Deishonda sought to become a change agent at such an early age but first decided to resolve and gain insight into her own struggles that was normalized in her culture and family.

Deishonda obtained her Bachelor of Social Work in 2009 from Southern University A&M College (Baton Rouge) and immediately pursued her Master of Social Work Southern University at New Orleans while managing a full-time job as case manager and mother. Because of her dedication to family first Deishonda had the desire to open her own Practice.

After obtaining her clinical license she opened Forever Care Resource Center LLC in 2009. Deishonda believed in seeking all opportunities presented and spent the first 9 years of her career exploring several areas of social work.
